Good value for single trip

I needed Single Trip Travel Insurance for my holiday next month. I compared a few providers and Allianz Assistance had a really good offer. I managed to get a decent discount, which made the price very competitive. The coverage seemed comprehensive for what I paid. It felt like a solid purchase and good value for money overall.

Easy annual multi-trip insurance

I just got the Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance and it was so easy to buy online! The process was straightforward, and I got my policy documents right away. It's great knowing I'm covered for all my trips this year. I will definitely shop with Allianz Assistance again for my travel needs.

Comprehensive family plan

I purchased the Family Travel Insurance for our trip to Australia, and the experience was mostly smooth. Getting the quote was quick, and I appreciated the clear breakdown of what was included, especially the COVID-19 coverage. The online portal was user-friendly for inputting everyone's details. Delivery of the policy documents was instant via email, which was convenient. I haven't had to use the 24-Hour Emergency Assistance (thankfully!), but it's reassuring to know it's there. My only minor gripe was navigating the options for adventure sports cover; it took a few clicks to find exactly what I needed for our snorkeling plans. But once I got it sorted, the policy felt very thorough for the whole family.

hey, anyone know if i can still buy this insurance if i'm already on my trip? totally forgot to get it before leaving.

H Hannah Baker 3 weeks ago
Nah, pretty sure you gotta buy it before you go. Most travel insurance policies are like that.

Yeah, pretty sure they don't cover you if you're already out of the country. I tried to get some once while I was in Thailand and they wouldn't let me.

Is the COVID-19 coverage included in all plans or do I gotta add it on special?

M Mary 1 month ago
From what I remember it's part of their comprehensive plans. Just double-check when you're getting a quote.

Yeah, I think the newer plans have it built in. It's not like a separate add-on anymore, at least for the main ones.

How do these guys compare to FWD or NTUC Income for family plans? Looking for something good for a trip to Japan.

B Ben D. 2 weeks ago
I've used Allianz for family plans before and they were pretty good with claims. FWD is also popular but I found Allianz's coverage for medical a bit better for my specific trip.

NTUC is usually competitive, but for Japan, I'd probably lean towards Allianz or FWD, especially if you want good medical evacuation coverage. Always compare the fine print though, especially for pre-existing conditions if any.

Is their 24-hour emergency line actually helpful? Like, if something serious happens overseas, can they really do anything?

B Betty Young 3 weeks ago
My friend had to use it when he broke his leg in Vietnam. Said they were super efficient getting him to a good hospital and handling the logistics. So yeah, seems legit.

I only called once for a lost passport, and they were pretty quick to give me advice on what to do next. Didn't need anything major but they seemed competent.

Where exactly do I put in the promo code? I don't wanna miss out on a discount.

G Grace C. 2 weeks ago
It's on the page after you get your initial quote, before you hit the payment button. You'll see a little box for it.

D Danielle Campbell 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's usually on the quote generation page. Don't worry, it's pretty clear once you're there. Just look for a 'promo code' or 'discount code' field.
